John Owen

Leeds, 1918

Exceptional sounding cello in a good state of preservation. Owen was a trained engineer and self taught violin maker, producing thoughtful and well made instruments over a long career. This one was made in his 66th year – the same year the first world war ended. It was made for a Mr. Walter Spink as inscribed on the inner back.
