Arthur & John Betts

London, circa 1840

Fine and attractive cello made by John Furber who supplied many instruments to the Betts shop. This is a lovely and typical example in a fine state of preservation. The cello sounds exceptionally well and far beyond its relatively humble origins.

LOB = 74.7cm

Upper bouts = 35cm

Lower bouts = 43.2cm
