Very interesting and fine viola in excellent condition.

Two piece maple back of attractive medium figure descending from the joint; ribs similar; head of somewhat fainter medium figure; two piece table of medium width grain slightly wider towards the edges; varnish of an orange-brown colour. Original label dated 1894. Measurements: Back = 16 1/2"(41.9cm) Upper bouts = 8 1/16" (20.5cm) Lower bouts = 9 3/4"(24.8cm)
